Bike Floor Pumps
A floor pump is a must for every bike rider.
A properly inflated bicycle tyre rides faster, gets less punctures, lasts longer and handles better than one not so. Tyres lose pressure quite quickly in storage, and unfortunately do need to be pumped regularly and/or checked before you ride.
Most floor pumps have a guage so that you can check the tyre pressure, but the single biggest advantage of floor pumps is that they pump BIG VOLUMES of air FAST and EASILY!!!!
Most bike pumps these days come with a pump head that will fit the two common valve types, namely the car type valve and the "pointy" presta high pressure valve. Different brands have different systems, "clever" pump heads will detect your valve type automatically-you don't need to do a thing! Whilst some may have a dual head and others have a "reversible head" which needs to be unscrewed and "turned around" to suit a valve type. None of it complicated....really!
